There are many opportunities available to dancers in the dancer industry today. FOCUS Dance Center wishes to mentor students who are interested in pursuing careers in dance instruction. Our mentor program will provide assistant teachers with the necessary tools to eventually assume the role of dance instructor. Interested students must:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Have a minimum of five years dance experience
• Maintain a current schedule of at least six hours per week of FOCUS Dance technique classes
• Submit letters of recommendation from two FOCUS Faculty members and one academic instructor
• Submit a letter of intent describing your interest in teaching

There will be a maximum of three assistant teachers chosen per year. Qualifications will be based on technical ability, reliability, demonstration of integrity and self-discipline. The FOCUS Faculty will select assistant teachers from qualified applicants.
